Venue Entry Details

Permitted Items on Queen’s Plate Day
  • Fold up chairs are permitted to be brought into the concert area (please note: a ticket is required to access the concert area)
  • Food items in clear plastic baggies (maximum size 18” X 18” - no trash bags)*
  • “Box” lunches in clear plastic baggies or containers (maximum size 18” X 18” - no trash bags)
  • Water and soft drinks – plastic bottles only (sealed, clear and unopened)
  • Purses, but none larger than 12” in any dimension (subject to search)
  • Baby/diaper bags – only if accompanied by an infant/child (subject to search)
  • Small cameras – none equipped with detachable lenses or lenses of 6” or more **
  • Binoculars
  • Sunscreen (non-glass containers only)
  • Cellular phones, smartphones, tablets, and handheld music devices*
  • Seat cushions smaller than 15”X15” that do not contain metal arms and /or backs, zippers, pockets or flaps
  • Strollers (ONLY if carrying a child)

* Limit of two bags per person

** Guests may be required to turn on electronic items to ensure use as designed.

Banned Items on Queen’s Plate Day​

  • Alcoholic Beverages regardless of container or carrier
  • Illegal or Controlled Substances
  • Weapons or imitation thereof inclusive of knives
  • Coolers
  • Cans and Glass Bottles
  • Un-sealed beverages inclusive of water or soft-drinks.
  • Grills or personal cooking devices
  • POP UP or Guest TENTS - no poles or stakes
  • Professional audio or video recording devices and/or equipment
  • Cameras and respective equipment of professional or high quality
  • Tripods
  • The use of any remote controlled drone (UAV)
  • Backpacks, luggage or duffle bags greater than 15" in any direction
  • Wagons
  • Strollers without accompanied infant or child.
  • Diaper or Change bags without accompanied infant or child.
  • Seat cushions greater than 15"X15"
  • Blankets and tarpaulins
  • Fireworks, sparklers, noise makers , air horns, laser lights/pointers
  • Animals (with the exception of service dogs for guests with disabilities)
  • ​Any items deemed dangerous and/or inappropriate

Woodbine Entertainment Group Security Services and its partners, reserve the right to turn over prohibited items
related to illegal or controlled substances, alcohol, and weapons to Toronto Police. All other items may be
returned and secured in your personal vehicle or abandoned upon entry. We will not be responsible for items
left in vehicles. Thank you for your understanding and assistance.

Entry to Woodbine Racetrack Venue on Queen’s Plate Day​

Gates on Queen's Plate day will open at 10:00AM and access to the concert area will open at 5:00PM. 

As you plan your trip to Woodbine Racetrack for the Queen’s Plate, be sure to review the list of items that are permitted and those that cannot be brought into the racing facility. 

Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG) hospitality and security procedures have been modified for the 156th running of the Queen’s Plate on Sunday, July 3, 2016​. The adjusted procedures are listed below.  

All guests will be subject to baggage checks before entry to the venue on Queen’s Plate day. Guests are advised to arrive early to accommodate search procedures at all entrances. You will be subject again to baggage search upon re-entry should you leave the venue. 

Prohibited items determined not to be appropriate for entry into the Woodbine Racetrack venue will be the responsibility of the guest and cannot be accepted or checked by WEG.  We urge guests to secure these items in their vehicles or discard them into provided container at the entry points. Woodbine Entertainment Group and its security partners will not store prohibited or excluded items for guests.


With 50,000 attendees on-track, parking is limited on Queen's Plate day. Purchase VIP or Preferred Parking through​ to secure a spot within close proximity to the Woodbine Grandstand.


​VIP Parking - $25: Door-to-Door Valet Service that makes wearing heels to the event, that much easier for the ladies! With Valet Service offered at Gate 10 and 11, drive right up to the door and begin your Queen's Plate experience immediately. 


Preferred Parking - $15: Show your pass and self-park your car in one of our designated preferred lots close to the Woodbine Grandstand. Make it easy for you and your group, with securing a parking spot in advance rather than searching day of among all other attendees. 


Free Parking: Limited free parking available in far exterior lots surrounding the Woodbine Grandstand.​
